Uninterrupted monitoring of equipment and products in indoor and outdoor areas
Indoor and outdoor positioning using BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) technology
PROBLEM DEFINITION
Asset tracking requires both transmitter hardware connected to the assets to be monitored and receiver hardware deployed at regular intervals throughout the facility. In the asset tracking system, the receiver hardware is mounted on walls, ceilings or pillars. There are often no suitable options for installing equipment in large, open spaces outside.
SOLUTION
With the Navbea Asset tracking system and Navbea sensors, equipment can be tracked seamlessly indoors and outdoors. Reliably locate and track goods transported on forklifts and temporarily stored outdoors. The location of the goods is tracked at any time via the asset tracking system web or mobile interfaces.
TECHNICAL APPLICATION
In the Asset Tracking System, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) beacons are attached to the assets to be tracked. The received signals are scanned instantly by the readers. From here, the data is sent to the Navbea View WEB installed at a central location. In NAVBEA WEB, data is processed intelligently and location is determined. With the Asset Tracking System, the current location of the goods and all their movement over time are tracked.
ASSET TRACKING AND INDOOR NAVIGATION IN THE HOSPITAL
In a large hospital, certain medical devices, such as a mobile x-ray machine, can be placed through indoor positioning. Visitors and patients benefit from indoor navigation.
DEFINITION OF THE PROBLEM
A large hospital has many departments of several hundred thousand square meters. On the one hand, departments share certain medical equipment, such as a mobile x-ray machine, and each department has its own special equipment to stay in its room. If a mobile x-ray machine is needed, staff must call all other departments as the current list is not kept carefully. Devices that are supposed to stay in a department are also often not found in the designated area because of the possibility of theft or leaving the area they were in at the time of the accident. Due to the complexity of the building complex, patients and new staff also face orientation problems, and waiting areas are overcrowded. As a result, patients have to wait several hours for an appointment.
SOLUTION
Medical equipment is tracked by indoor location detection. All employees access current location via app or browser app. If a device is not leaving a certain area, it gives a warning for this situation.
A visitor app for smartphone includes an integrated calendar as well as a clear map for indoor navigation. This calendar reminds the patient of treatment appointments in a timely manner and also pays attention to the patient's route. The waiting time for all parties is reduced.
